Wahome is the full-time Kenya Business Manager for Delta Partnership and is a valued member of the core team. He leads the
company on East African business development and is predominantly involved in procurement, and developing strong partnerships and maintaining our highly skilled associate network. In addition he provides general support to the directors and is the main point of contact for the Kenya office.
Wahome is increasingly becoming involved in the delivery of Delta’s work, and has been an integral member of the Delta team on several recent assignments;
In 2011 he worked on the Business Advocacy Fund in Kenya to map out public private dialogue mechanisms. This involved evaluating the mechanisms organisations use to advocate on issue that are pertinent to their members in terms of effectiveness, impact and sustainability and looking to establish what can be done to enhance dialogue and advocacy.
Wahome was also involved in conducting a mid term evaluation of the Democratic Governance Fund, funded by CIDA, to assess the extent to which it has progressed against intended results. During carrying out of this assessment programme relevance and responsiveness to existing systems and tools of engagement with selected partners was undertaken and recommendations made on future resource allocation, systems and structures. Wahome conducted the interviews with partner organizations, took part in the validation and analysis activities, and was instrumental in developing the final report which went into building up of the business case for next phase of CIDA’s development activities in Kenya.
He also assisted the Delta team in the Institutional development of the ASAL Secretariat (ministry of Northern Kenya and other Arid Lands) ; an assignment that ran throughout 2011. The purpose of this consultancy was to help the ASAL Secretariat become fully functional and deliver its core mandate.
Wahome is a graduate of the University of Wales, Cardiff with an MBA with a financial bias. He has a passion for management consultancy focussing on organisational process redesign.
